One service that I missed for my work was a dedicated business center. It would have been helpful to have a designated area with computers, printers, and other office equipment readily accessible for any urgent tasks that needed to be completed.

The hotel boasts a charming atmosphere with architecture dating back to the Edo period and a picturesque garden with a pond. the nearby Kotohira shrine is just a 10-15 minute walk away and offers a variety of cafes and restaurants on the way. For dinner, guests can easily walk to a nearby restaurant and enjoy a delicious meal. the elegant and spacious rooms offer beautiful views of the surrounding area and the onsen is a great place to relax after a long day of exploring.

Communication with some of the hotel staff can be difficult due to a language barrier.

We stayed at this luxurious hotel and had an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly attentive and the rooms were incredibly comfortable. The hotel itself was beautiful and had a fantastic spa located beside a bamboo grove. The meals served at this place were superlative, with 12-course dinners that should not be missed. this hotel provided a truly authentic and luxurious experience that we highly recommend to family and friends.

Excellent meals and spa

During our romantic escape, we enjoyed the delicious meals provided by the hotel, especially the traditional Japanese breakfast. The spa area was also great, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxation. the hotel is located close to the main attractions, making it easy for us to explore the area.

Although our stay was enjoyable, the room's air conditioning was noisy which disturbed our sleep. We also noticed that some parts of the room, especially the furniture, needed refurbishing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kotohira Kadan. Our silver wedding year celebration was made even more special with the complimentary cocktails and the exquisite traditional Kaiseki dinner. The onsen before dinner was incredibly relaxing, and we loved the option of wearing traditional Japanese clothing. The breakfast was equally stunning, with delicately flavored dishes. The twin room with a private open-air bath was well worth the extra cost. The warm welcome, convenient parking, and beautiful blend of traditional and modern design added to our overall experience. Sending postcards and luggage assistance were greatly appreciated.

The service was outstanding! the staff was always willing to help us in whatever we needed and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. the meals were delicious and beautifully presented. the outdoor and indoor hot springs were the perfect places to relax after a day of exploring the surroundings.

The walk from the train station to the hotel was a bit long, but the free shuttle service was helpful. There were also a lot of mosquitoes in the outdoor areas, which made it uncomfortable to walk around at night.
